Applying for a new rental property – supporting documents and additional information
WE WILL NOT PROCESS ANY APPLICATIONS UNTIL WE RECEIVE ALL THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
We require the following documents for your application (per person applying for the lease):
• ID – passport OR Australian Drivers Licence and/or Photo Card and/or Australian government-issued ID • Further ID – bank debit card and/or mortgage documents and/or council rates notice (if you own property in Australia) and/or Medicare or private health insurance card, motor vehicle registration, etc. • Proof of income – employment payslips and/or contract of employment (if you are current employed) • Proof of ready cash/short-term ability to pay rent – bank account statements (most up-to-date with short transactional history – you are welcome to blank out private/sensitive transactions)
o If you have multiple bank accounts, you are welcome to submit their respective statements • Confirmation of enrolment and student ID card (if you are currently studying)
• Working/Student visa confirmation (if applicable)
• If you currently have an RBO (Rental Bond Online) account, please let us know your identification number and the e-mail address associated with the account – (you can put this information in the ‘notes’ section or on a blank area of the paper application form)
Please photocopy/scan these documents and attach with residential application paper form or with your 1form application when submitting.
Just a friendly reminder to help speed up the application process, please be sure to fill in as much of the 1form application or paper application form as you can. If they are relevant to you, please fill out the sections listed below on your respective application form (for the paper applicants – please do not forget to sign at the end!):
• Lease commencement date (when you want to move in)
• Lease term (6-12 months)
• How many tenants that will ultimately occupy the property
• If renting from a real estate agent – current/previous managing agent’s name/company details and e-mail address
• Address of the property you are applying for
• Your current/previous residential addresses
• How long you had been living there for
